Course objectives

  • To provide the knowledge to facilitate the transition from the learning curve, to allow technical development and eventually move towards monobloc management
  • To describe the different techniques (monobloc, two or three lobes, management of the apex) and the equipment available
  • To describe and show videos of the ejaculation preservation
  • To demonstrate two live surgeries allowing to see a monobloc and multilobed enucleation with interaction with the OP room
  • To describe peri-operative management of anticoagulant in BPH surgery
  • To provide the outcomes and potential complications of the technique

IRCAD has received financial support in the form of an unrestricted financial support. IRCAD course funding occurs via an unrestricted support from IRCAD sponsors (medical device companies). Funding is provided free of any attempt to influence the program, individual sessions, subjects for discussion, content and choice of faculty members.
