Course objectives in BPH

  • To provide a current overview of the various « minimally invasive » techniques for the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), available to urologists, from the most traditional to the most innovative.
  • To decribe each technique by experts, in live or pre-recorded live surgery and give the principles of surgical techniques.
  • To present the different types of lasers, their characteristics and their indications in the treatment of BPH
  • To show innovative techniques and their operating protocols
  • To present the results and the complications.
  • To provide the medical and economic aspects

IRCAD has received financial support in the form of an unrestricted financial support. IRCAD course funding occurs via an unrestricted support from IRCAD sponsors (medical device companies). Funding is provided free of any attempt to influence the program, individual sessions, subjects for discussion, content and choice of faculty members.
Commercial names of medical devices/software/equipment may appear because they are linked to specific medical procedures, which are the focus of this training course.
