Laparoscopy in Newborns, Infants & Children Advanced Course

Laparoscopy in Newborns, Infants & Children Advanced Course

Full immersion in pediatric surgery

Minimally invasive surgery has come a long way since the 1980s, when pioneers first started demonstrating that all types of malformations could be managed
using laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, retroperitoneoscopy, subcutaneous videosurgery, videosurgery combined
with endoluminal endoscopy, and robotic surgery. Today it has become undeniable that minimally invasive surgery is, without a doubt, feasible and safe.
In 2026, IRCAD Strasbourg will schedule again a visceral thoracic neonatal surgery course which is a more general approach to pediatric surgery. Interactive theoretical training and video sessions combined with hands-on training on live tissue under expert tutorial in the experimental lab will provide course participants the tools they require to improve their skills.

REGISTRATIONS FOR 2027 WILL OPEN END OF AUGUST 2026

  • 3 half days of hands-on sessions on live tissue
  • Theoretical sessions
  • Coffee breaks and lunches at IRCAD
  • One evening dinner at Brasserie Les Haras

No accommodation, no social program and no entertainment included in the registration fees for participants.
