IRCAD had the distinct honor of welcoming Mr. Yoshinori Kanehana, Chairman of the Board of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., following two previous visits by Mr. Hashimoto, President & CEO. Alongside Mr. Tetsuya Nakanishi, IRCAD leadership presented the institute’s infrastructure and innovative concepts to the Kawasaki Board. This visit serves as preparation for the official September announcement of the Kawasaki Innovation Centre Europe (KIC-EU), to be hosted within IRCAD.
This milestone coincides with the launch of a Physical AI Center in San Jose, Silicon Valley, in partnership with NVIDIA and Microsoft. Collaborating closely with IRCAD’s research teams, both centers will co-develop the next generation of surgical and humanoid robots, advancing a shared vision to shape the future of healthcare through robotics and AI.
