Laparoscopy in Newborns, Infants & Children Advanced Course
Full immersion in pediatric surgerySince the emergence of minimally invasive techniques in the 1980s, pediatric surgery has considerably progressed. Surgeons have shown that many congenital conditions can be treated through laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, retroperitoneoscopy, subcutaneous endoscopic approaches, endoluminal-assisted procedures, and robotic surgery. These methods are now widely accepted as safe and effective. In 2027, IRCAD Strasbourg will once again host its neonatal visceral and thoracic surgery course, offering a broad overview of pediatric minimally invasive surgery. The program combines interactive lectures, expert video discussions, and supervised practical training on live tissue in the experimental laboratory, enabling participants to strengthen their knowledge and enhance their surgical expertise.
