During the Awards Gala Dinner of the Society of Robotic Surgery (SRS) Annual Congress, Professor Jacques Marescaux received the “Edson Bueno Healthcare Humanitarian and Visionary” Award. This prestigious honor from the global robotic surgery community also recognizes the entire IRCAD team’s three decades of dedication to democratizing minimally invasive surgery worldwide. IRCAD was equally proud to celebrate another distinction within its global network, as Mr. Henrique Prata was presented with the “SRS Surgical Education Visionary and Humanitarian” Award. A visionary medical entrepreneur, Mr. Prata established one of Latin America’s leading cancer centers in Barretos, delivering cost-free treatment to Brazil’s most underserved populations. These distinctions reflect exemplary contributions to global healthcare.
