Some encounters leave a lasting mark on our lives. For Professor Jacques Marescaux, meeting Michèle Barzach was one of those exceptional moments.
An independent, courageous woman, deeply committed to her convictions, she inspired admiration through her intelligence, high standards, and vision for the future of medicine.
When the IHU Strasbourg was established, Professor Marescaux invited her to chair its Board of Directors. She enthusiastically accepted and devoted herself to this endeavor with remarkable passion and determination.
Beyond her commitment, what will remain is the memory of an extraordinary woman: the mischievous sparkle in her eyes, her smile, her strength of character, and the quiet tenderness that made her so special.
