Course objectives
To provide basic knowledge required for safe use of laparoscopic surgery
To describe all technical (instruments, trocars, energy sources…) and physiology principles of laparoscopic surgery
To critically review the most common laparoscopic surgical procedures
To learn or improve laparoscopic skills by repeatedly practicing suturing, knot-tying and performing surgical procedures during hands-on sessions
Target audience
This course is intended for general surgeons, digestive surgeons, fellows and residents in training

Objective structured assessment of technical skills
Optional University Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery
Evaluation through theoretical exams and practical tests at the end of the Intensive course session leads to the delivery of a “University Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery” awarded by the University of Strasbourg.
The diploma fees (around 430 Euros) are to be paid in cash.
