Individualized, advanced hands-on training course using fresh frozen anatomical specimens

Join our 2-day course dedicated to endoscopic approaches to all sinuses and to the anterior skull base. This full immersion workshop is intended for rhinologists / ENT-Skull base surgeons from the world over, ideally with considerable experience in endoscopic sinus surgery, interested in picking up technical “pearls” and refinement – and possibly, some new, less  destructive techniques benefiting patient outcomes.

It has been structured to provide didactic lectures and surgical video demonstrations all broadcasted on a 3D screen, and 7 hours of hands-on practice on anatomical specmens including live demonstration dissections and instructed hands-on dissections.

Course objectives

  • To teach current techniques of extended sinus surgery
  • To improve the knowledge in endoscopic approaches to all sinuses and to the anterior skull base
  • To provide hands-on sessions using cadaveric specimen and improve skills
  • To become familiar with endoscopic endonasal approaches
  • To pick up some “pearls” and refinement – and some new, less destructive techniques

IRCAD has received financial support in the form of an unrestricted financial support. IRCAD course funding occurs via an unrestricted support from IRCAD sponsors (medical device companies). Funding is provided free of any attempt to influence the program, individual sessions, subjects for discussion, content and choice of faculty members.
