Course objectives

  • To learn how to expose the larynx with different scopes according to the anatomy of patients
  • To perform endoscopic enlargement of the glottis for bilateral vocal fold paralysis
  • To perform endoscopic treatment of laryngeal cancer
  • To present a new simulator to train for laryngeal microsurgery
  • To offer CO2 laser training for the treatment of initial laryngeal cancer
  • To present an alternative tool for laryngeal microsurgery: the exoscope

Target audience

This course is intended for ENT and skull base surgeons

Educational methods

  • Interactive theoretical and video sessions between Faculty and course participants
  • Hands-on training on anatomical specimens (option C)
  • Workshop with a microlaryngeal surgery simulator (options A and C)

Funding is provided free of any attempt to influence the program, individual sessions, subjects for discussion, content and choice of faculty members.
