Multidisciplinary Guidance in Biliary Complex Interventions Advanced Course

Advanced treatment of complex biliary tract diseases

This two-day theoretical and practical course is primarily intended for surgeons, gastroenterologists, and interventional radiologists with the aim of enhancing their knowledge and training them in the advanced treatment of complex biliary tract diseases.

This course focuses on two fundamental areas. Firstly, it will address the drainage of malignant proximal biliary strictures, both in the preoperative setting and in tumor palliation.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with and practice current diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in a multidisciplinary setting.

Secondly, practical application of modern therapeutic strategies for biliary diseases in patients with altered anatomy or in whom conventional approaches have failed will be explored, incorporating innovative technologies and minimally invasive techniques.

The course is designed to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical skills in a highly specialized environment, promoting active learning and evidence-based clinical decision-making.
