IRCAD international fellowships
The IRCAD research fellowship program is intended for surgeons, endoscopists, interventional radiologists, (bio)engineers, and computer scientists at the beginning of their professional career, willing to become leaders in their field. You will have the opportunity to focus on your academic achievements, and to actively participate in creative and innovative institutional projects for a one-year research fellowship (no clinical activities).

Surgical research fellowships
As an IRCAD research fellow, you will:
- Lead your own research projects with IRCAD support and showcase them at international congresses
- Prepare and submit scientific manuscripts with structured mentoring and editorial support
- Work with advanced surgical technologies: robotics, telerobotics, interventional GI endoscopy, cutting-edge surgical devices, image-guided and AI-driven platforms
- Collaborate with international experts in a multidisciplinary environment and assit with IRCAD’s advanced training programs
- Contribute to monthly surgical video publications on : www.websurg.com
- Take all IRCAD France courses for free
Engineering fellowships
As a fellow engineer, you will join IRCAD’s R&D team to develop your career path in various domains:
- virtual & augmented reality
- software development
- artificial intelligence
- telerobotics
- and much more…
You will also be given the opportunity to write scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals.

- 1. Fill out the online form by April 30, 2026.
- 2. The application will be reviewed by the fellowship selection committee.
- 3. If your application meets IRCAD’s criteria and specifications, formal interviews will be scheduled.
