IRCAD recently hosted the Fujifilm teams for two days of collaborative work and exchange. The visit marked the beginning of a new partnership focused on surgical education and technological innovation.
Highlights of the visit included:
– Interviews with Prof. Jacques Marescaux and Prof. Rubén Giménez to introduce the collaboration
– Filming of a presentation video ahead of Fujifilm’s upcoming kickoff event
– Training sessions for IRCAD staff on Fujifilm’s 3D reconstruction system, marketed as “Synapse” in Europe and “Vincent” in the United States
This advanced technology will enable surgeons in training at IRCAD to simulate procedures using a digital twin of the organ before moving to the operating room.
This initiative represents a promising step forward, with further developments to come.

We would like to draw your attention that the « Vaccine Pass » is now mandatory in France since end of January 2022 and replaces the former « Health Pass » to access places that are open to the public, such as cinemas, museums, cafés and restaurants, hotels as well as the IRCAD Institute which welcomes participants in the framework of its courses and seminars. Thus, a PCR test without vaccination is no longer sufficient to take part in our courses.
