IRCAD has officially inaugurated the new Baxter Smart Operating Room (OR) in the presence of key executives, including James Teaff (President, Patient Support Systems and Global Surgical Solutions) and Bruno Regnault (Vice President, Hospital Supply & Technology, Western Europe).
Built in a remarkably short timeframe to be ready for the SRS Annual Meeting in July, the project underscores the exceptional trust and flexibility demonstrated by the partner, Baxter. As Professor Jacques Marescaux noted, this achievement perfectly embodies the IRCAD spirit of rapid innovation.
This state-of-the-art OR showcases Baxter’s latest innovations, notably a no-touch screen system that provides surgeons with instant access to all patient information across multiple displays. Furthermore, thanks to the partner Sovato, the room is fully equipped for telesurgery. Its advanced capabilities were immediately demonstrated during the congress with two world surgical premieres performed from this very room.
This inauguration marks a major step forward in both surgical innovation and global collaboration.
