We had the honor of welcoming Mr. Jacques Witkowski, Prefect of the Grand Est Region, of the Eastern Defense and Security Zone, and Prefect of Bas-Rhin, together with Ms. Frédérique Berrod, President of the University of Strasbourg, to IRCAD.
Professor Jacques Marescaux guided them through our training platforms dedicated to minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Researchers also presented several ongoing projects, including a demonstration of an artificial intelligence program applied to ultrasound imaging as part of the development of augmented reality. This innovative technology enables surgeons to visualize the organ being operated on with enhanced transparency.

We would like to draw your attention that the « Vaccine Pass » is now mandatory in France since end of January 2022 and replaces the former « Health Pass » to access places that are open to the public, such as cinemas, museums, cafés and restaurants, hotels as well as the IRCAD Institute which welcomes participants in the framework of its courses and seminars. Thus, a PCR test without vaccination is no longer sufficient to take part in our courses.
